Science Writing services

I have been a professional writer for fourteen years, including twelve years with one of the world's best scientific research agencies, CSIRO Australia, and seven years as a CSIRO magazine editor. I write in a lively, interesting style across a range of genres including print and television. I am also a widely published fiction writer.

I have written about a huge range of scientific topics for the complete spectrum of audiences: from technical material for professional scientists to articles for young children. This includes general public, educational, business and government audiences.

Initially I wrote a long series of feature articles about CSIRO, other Australian, and international research for all of CSIROa's popular magazines. I also wrote, designed and edited many other publications for CSIRO clients: fact sheets, booklets, pamphlets, posters, reports, etc. These were aimed at students, teachers, media, and the general community. I co-wrote and edited the Annual Report series for the Cooperative Research Centre for Satellite Systems.

For seven years I was Managing Editor of the internationally acclaimed news magazine, CSIRO/CRCSS Space Industry News (ISSN 1329-4857). I wrote hundreds of feature and news articles (many of which were reprinted in national and international media).

I can do any kind of science writing for any audience and about any topic.

I continue writing, doing travel, investigative features, fiction, and what science writing I can.
